商品描述

This book presents the latest evidence-based approach in diagnosis and management of the aging of both individuals and society from a gerontology perspective. Amid significant demographic changes such as aging and longevity, one crucial concern is how to live a long healthy life and how community and company can support it. Thus, this book aims to educate society on this vital issue and promote research that integrates the humanities and sciences that welcomes the elderly into an economic market and considers them the new social asset. The book is organized into three themed parts; Environmental Health, Culture/Society in Gerontology, and Preventive Medicine. Chapters provide easy-to-follow algorithms and critical points for each topic. With the study of preventive medicine and environmental medicine in hygiene, the interdisciplinary systems will be suitable for pioneering new academic fields and innovation.

Innovation in Environmental Health and Preventive Medicine -In the Field of Gerontology is a must-have source of information for academics for environmental and occupational health worldwide. It is also a valuable resource for both new and established researchers and students who seek comprehensive information on care, welfare and health promotion for the elderly. Researchers in various fields, such as robot operation interface and emotion analysis using biological signals of the elderly, will value this book. It enriches the understanding for creators and technical staff for data science/data-based science of the bio-signal of the elderly.

Tomoki Shiozawa has been a professor at Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo since 2007 and recently became the Associate Director of the Gerontology Research Institute there. His research focuses on the medical evaluation of aging's impact on labor management. He holds an MD, a PhD, and multiple board certifications in Japan, including as a practicing internist, neurologist, dementia specialist, and industrial physician, among others. In 1997, he completed a fellowship in Medical Informatics under Professor Robert A. Greenes at Harvard Medical School. He is currently active as a director or council member in several Japanese medical societies.

Takashi Inoue has been a Professor at College of Economics, Aoyama Gakuin University, Japan since 2002. His specialty is regional demography, especially small area population forecasting and building mathematical models on population distribution and migration. He has been a Member of the Research Evaluation Committee at National Institute of Population and Social Security Research since 2005, and a Vice President of the Population Association of Japan since 2022.

Hiromi Hirata has been a Professor at the College of Science and Technology, Aoyama Gakuin University in Japan since 2015. His research focuses on brain science including the molecular basis of motor development, behavioral plasticity and aging using zebrafish as an animal model. He also serves as the Director of the Institute for Gerontology to integrate various aged-related research into disciplinary development in Aoyama Gakuin University. He has received Young Scientist Award from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan and many other awards and honors.

Dominika Kanikowska, MD, PhD Professor at the Department of Pathophysiology of the Medical University of Poznań. Physician. Fellow of a postdoctoral scholarship from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and a scholarship holder of the Heiwa Nakajima Foundation (Japan) for young scientists. She is the author of several publications in chronobiology, thermoregulation, and the physiology of adaptation to the environment. She has made contributions in the field of patophysiology. Dominika Kanikowska is a co-authored the book "Patofizjologia Repetytorium." This book aims to illustrate how disruptions in physiological mechanisms can lead to disease.

Hiroki Takada, is a tenured Professor in the Department of Human and Artificial Intelligent Systems, the Graduate School of Engineering, University of Fukui, Japan. He is also the Co-Director of the Nonlinear Science Lab. His research is centered on the nonlinear analysis of time sequences. In his research, mathematical models have been obtained from the data sequences in Economics, Meteorology, and Erectrophysiology based on the stochastic process theory. He also received the Organization Contribution Award from the International Conference of Computer Science and Education (ICCSE) in 2020. Prof. Takada also serves as an editor in Environmental Health and Preventive Medicine and an editor-in-chief of Forma. He is a member of IEEE, Physical Society of Japan, and other organizations.
