Dr. Yongsheng Ma is a full professor with Southern University of Science and Technology, China (since 2021). Dr. Ma had been a full professor with the University of Alberta (2007 to 2021). He is a member of ASEE, SME, SPE, CSME and an Alberta P.Eng. His research focuses on engineering informatics for design and manufacturing. Dr. Ma received B.Eng. from Tsinghua University, Beijing (1986), both M.Sc. (1990) and Ph.D. (1994) from UMIST, UK. Before 2007, he had served as an associate professor with Nanyang Technological University (2000-2007), Singapore. Before that he also worked with Ngee Ann Polytechnic (1993-1996) and then Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (1996-2000). Dr. Ma has had an established research profile with many research projects from different sources, and published more than 200 internationally recognized top journal and conference papers, and book chapters. Dr. Ma had been an associate editor of IEEE Transaction of Automation Science and Engineering (2009-2013). In 2012, he won the prestigious ASTech award sponsored by The Alberta Science and Technology Leadership Foundation together with Drader Manufacturing Ltd. Dr. Ma had also served as a senator of UA during 2014-2016. He has been serving as an Editorial Board Member of Advanced Engineering Informatics (Elsevier) since 2012, and became an associate editor since 2020. He is currently also an associate editor of ASME Journal of Computing and Information Science in Engineering (JCISE), Frontiers in Mechanical Engineering - Digital Manufacturing, and an editorial board member for Scientific Reports (Springer Nature).

馬永生博士是中國南方科技大學的全職教授（自2021年起）。馬博士曾是加拿大阿爾伯塔大學的全職教授（2007年至2021年）。他是美國工程教育學會（ASEE）、美國機械工程師學會（SME）、美國石油工程師學會（SPE）、加拿大機械工程師學會（CSME）的成員，也是阿爾伯塔省註冊工程師。他的研究專注於設計和製造的工程信息學。馬博士畢業於清華大學（1986年），並在英國曼徹斯特大學獲得碩士（1990年）和博士學位（1994年）。在2007年之前，他曾在新加坡南洋理工大學擔任副教授（2000年至2007年）。在此之前，他還曾在新加坡义安理工学院（1993年至1996年）和新加坡制造技术研究院（1996年至2000年）工作。馬博士在不同來源的許多研究項目中建立了良好的研究聲譽，並發表了200多篇國際知名的頂級期刊和會議論文以及專書章節。馬博士曾擔任IEEE自動化科學與工程交易（2009年至2013年）的副編輯。2012年，他與Drader Manufacturing Ltd.共同獲得了由阿爾伯塔科學與技術領導基金會贊助的著名ASTech獎。馬博士還曾在2014年至2016年期間擔任UA的參議員。自2012年以來，他一直是《Advanced Engineering Informatics》（愛思唯爾）的編輯委員會成員，並於2020年成為副編輯。他目前還是ASME計算與信息科學工程期刊（JCISE）、Frontiers in Mechanical Engineering - Digital Manufacturing的副編輯，以及Scientific Reports（Springer Nature）的編輯委員會成員。
