Population Growth and Sustainable Transport in China

Pengjun Zhao is a professor and Dean of the School of Urban Planning and Design, and a professor of the School of Urban and Environmental Sciences, Peking University. He obtained his PhD degree and postdoctoral training in Spatial Planning at University of Groningen, the Netherlands. His research mostly focuses on sustainable transportation, travel demand management and spatial planning. He has more than 200 research outputs, including three English books and many articles published in international peer-reviewed journals, such as Transportation Research A, Transportation, Urban Studies, etc. He was ranked as one of Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier for Year 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 consecutively. He has obtained more than RMB 15 million of research grants as the Principle Investigator (PI) for 43 research projects which were funded by international and domestic organizations, such as EP7 (EU), EPSRC (UK), NSFC (CN), etc. He is now the Editor-in-Chief for Cities (Elsevier), a Department Associate of Department of Land Economy at Cambridge University, and the vice-chair of Transport and Geography Commission of the International Geographical Union.

趙鵬軍是北京大學城市規劃與設計學院院長，同時也是北京大學城市與環境科學學院的教授。他在荷蘭格羅寧根大學獲得了空間規劃的博士學位和博士後培訓。他的研究主要集中在可持續交通、出行需求管理和空間規劃方面。他發表了200多篇研究成果，包括三本英文書籍和許多發表在國際同行評審期刊上的文章，如《交通研究A》、《交通》、《城市研究》等。他連續多年被Elsevier評為中國最具引用的研究者之一，包括2014年至2019年。他作為首席調查員（PI）獲得了超過1500萬人民幣的研究資助，這些資助來自國際和國內組織，如EP7（歐盟）、EPSRC（英國）、NSFC（中國國家自然科學基金會）等。他現任Elsevier的《城市》雜誌主編，劍橋大學土地經濟學系的部門副聯絡人，以及國際地理聯合會交通與地理學委員會的副主席。
