Prof Fayvush George is the Head of Department of Geo-botany and Ecological Physiology at the Institute of Botany of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences. Among his many accomplishments, he is a member of some IUCN specialists group. His research interests are comparative floristic, global climate change, habitats and ecosystems, phyto-geography, endemic species, invasive plants, nature conservation and sustainable use of plant resources, biodiversity, special protected areas. He has published more than 200 papers, book chapters and monographs.

費維許·喬治教授是亞美尼亞國家科學院植物學研究所地理植物學與生態生理學系的系主任。他的成就之一是擔任一些國際自然保護聯盟（IUCN）專家小組的成員。他的研究興趣包括比較植物區系、全球氣候變遷、棲息地與生態系統、植物地理學、特有種、入侵植物、自然保護與植物資源的可持續利用、生物多樣性以及特別保護區。他已發表超過200篇論文、書籍章節和專著。
