The Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) is the association of leading graduate business schools around the world. GMAC owns and administers the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) exam since it was first created in 1954. The GMAT exam is the first and only standardized test designed for business schools by business schools to specifically assess the skills most relevant to success in a graduate management program. The GMAT exam is the most widely used exam around the world for graduate business school admissions with over 2,300 schools and 7,000 programs adopting the GMAT exam and over 200,000 exams taken annually.
